1. Product Overview

The ZXY3108 is a compact toroidal audio transformer with high-permeability permalloy magnetic shielding. Housed in a Ø31 mm × 22.5 mm nickel-plated steel case, it provides impedance matching and signal coupling in audio equipment, using 100% copper windings and colour-coded leads that keep assembly quick and error-free. A wire-lead version and a PCB pin-mount version are both available.

3. Advantages

The toroidal core is what separates this transformer from a conventional laminated design. Because the winding is closed around a continuous ring, the magnetic flux stays inside the core: leakage inductance is low, the stray field that escapes towards neighbouring circuits is small, and magnetic efficiency is high. The result is faithful signal transfer with little interaction with the components around it.

Permalloy magnetic shielding adds a second layer of protection. The high-permeability shield surrounds the winding and absorbs external magnetic interference, so hum and noise picked up from power supplies, motors or adjacent transformers are strongly attenuated. This matters most in densely packed audio products, where space between sensitive signal stages is limited.

100% copper wire keeps winding resistance low and conductivity high, which supports clean high-fidelity sound. Precision production also keeps electrical characteristics consistent from unit to unit, so a design performs the same way in the prototype and in every production batch. The metal case and epoxy sealed terminal protect the winding through handling and assembly.
