1. Product Overview

The ZXY-A187A10C is a low-frequency audio isolation transformer built for signal integrity and noise reduction. A high-permeability permalloy core inside an electrostatically shielded metal case delivers 1:1 coupling with at least 1500 V AC of isolation between the windings, which breaks ground loops and protects sensitive audio circuits. Dual balanced windings are brought out to a 4+4+1 pin arrangement for through-hole PCB mounting.

3. Advantages

The headline figure is isolation voltage: at least 1500 V AC between primary and secondary, verified at 1 mA for 60 s at 50 Hz. That separation breaks the ground path between two pieces of equipment, so ground loops and hum are eliminated at the transformer instead of being carried into the signal chain, and the circuits on the secondary side are protected from a fault on the primary side.

The high-permeability permalloy core is chosen for minimal distortion and high efficiency, which keeps total harmonic distortion below 0.1% and insertion loss below 0.5 dB across the full 20 Hz to 20 kHz range. Electrostatic shielding between the windings blocks EMI and RFI interference, so external noise does not ride on the signal.

Both sides carry two identical balanced windings, brought out on pins 1 to 4 and 5 to 8, with pin 9 reserved for the shield. The 1:1 ratio couples the signal without changing its level.
